Great Lengths Hair Extensions Care & Maintenance
Posted on January 10, 2008
After Hair Extensions are applied, DO NOT wash your hair for 48 hrs. This allows the bonds to “set” and bond well to your hair.
Great Lengths provides a special brush which is made specifically for your hair extensions. It is recommend to purchase along with your hair extensions. Brushing thoroughly is necessary. Finger separation of the bonds will keep your hair extensions from ever becoming matted at the scalp.
Pulling your hair back with a band or braiding it over the shoulder is recommended at night to keep your hair from getting tangled knotted or matted.
Swimming often is not recommended with Great Lengths Hair Extensions. Saunas are also discouraged as with any continuous wet environment.
Do NOT use anti dandruff shampoo as it contains Sulfur, an agent that is in the Great Lengths Removal gel. The bonds react to this agent and will soften.Coloring your hair IS allowed while wearing your hair extensions but keeping the color at safe distance from the bonds is encouraged.
Hot tools such as curling irons, flat irons etc should be KEPT AWAY FROM THE BONDS, but ARE allowed on your Great Lengths Hair. Always dry your bonds with a blow dryer. Allowing the bonds to remain wet for long periods is not recommended.
